This AP course in English Literature and Composition is designed to be a college/university level course embedded with the intellectual challenges and workload consistent with a typical undergraduate university English Literature/ Humanities course. In this course, students will read a wide variety of in-depth texts, drawing upon an array of multiple genres and periods, running the gamut through classical Greek plays to 21st Century writing. Students will demonstrate self-motivation and agency as they move through the course, as well as build collaborative and cooperative skills. As a culmination of the course, students will take the AP English Literature and Composition Exam that is given in May.
